Take step into Manor Michaud!

Don your captain hat and ready your handy journal as you take control of Detective Navis, a young freelance detective who was mysteriously called to investigate the murder of now-retired businessman Failboat Michaud. As it turns out, the night before his unfortunate fate befell him, Failboat had organized a party and invited four guests to the manor... It's up to you to meet these people and discover the truth behind this seemingly straightforward case!

Failboat has been Murdered!?

Failboat has been Murdered is a narrative-focused fan-game based off Youtuber/streamer Failboat103. The game takes place in an alternate universe where Failboat got a degree in something actually useful, and became really rich instead of something dumb like a "world famous Youtuber" that's "adored by thousands of people".

Being a piece of fan-content at its core, FhbM contains many a reference to the Failboat Youtube channel, be it through jokes, plot points, or even more obviously characters. THAT BEING SAID, the game was written to be ABLE TO BE ENJOYED BY ANYONE. It is 100% possible to engage in the original story and to get attached to the characters without any prior knowledge of their source, so don't let that fear dissuade you from giving this game a shot!

Erica Claire

Once a close friend to Failboat, this now job-hopping ex-nurse finds herself a suspect in the murder of a friend she didn't think she'd ever talk to again. With her rash exterior and blunt personality, it's a bit hard to discern her intentions. Though, having been left out for so long, could her opinion of Failboat have stayed the same since they both were kids...?

Sasha Pink

Previously an employee working under Failboat, Sasha Pink is a confident (though sometimes maybe too much) businessman who has little regards to other people's instructions. After being let go due to the closure of Failboat's previous business, he rebranded himself as a real estate agent, though he certainly didn't severe ties with his old boss. But, with a manor this grandiose on the line, is there a chance his actions hid ulterior motives...?

Carina Squy

A young and budding detective, but only in title. Carina always wanted to be a great detective, but her rich parents always had higher expectations of her... After meeting Failboat at an event her parents took her to, the two quickly bonded over his support for her dream. Though, one could always wonder how far she would be willing to go to "solve" her first big case...

Eyea Habanera

The owner of a prestigious restaurant, Eyea Rodriguez Alexandra Habanera saw Failboat quickly become a regular at her establishment back when he used to work with Pink. They exchanged many stories and anecdotes, to the point of forging a strong mutual friendship. Though it's to wonder, could someone with this much personal information be able to use it for their own end...?

And... Wincar

Failboat's personal butler of Manor Michaud, Wincar worked under him for many years. Elegant and professional, he's the one in charge of taking care of the manor, and appears to have been very close to it's owner prior to his passing. But, with how little he let's on... could there be something more to their relationship that Wincar isn't telling?

Gameplay

Explore Manor Michaud!

Explore Manor Michaud from top to bottom and converse with the suspects within it to gain evidence and piece together the events that transpired last night. But, investigating is only half of it...

Discover the truth!

Once everything has been noted down in your journal, meet up and discuss with your peers to figure out who amongst you is the culprit, and present the evidence you discovered to prove when someone is lying! There's only one truth on how everything played out, and it's YOUR JOB to discover it once and for all!

Playtime

Failboat has been Murdered is a linear experience with an approximate playtime of 6-7 hours, though playing and voicing the characters with friends (which is my recommended way of playing such a game) is likely to inflate that number.
